Major League Baseball released more information Oct. 1 about the upcoming National League Division Series, and we know the Milwaukee Brewers will play Oct. 4 at American Family Field at either 1:08 p.m. or 8:08 p.m.
Weirdly enough, which time wins out hinges on the Boston Red Sox.

If Boston defeats the New York Yankees on Oct. 1 to sweep the wild-card series between the two longtime foes, Boston will play in the early slot against Toronto on Oct. 4. That bumps the Brewers game against the San Diego Padres or Chicago Cubs all the way to 8:08 p.m. CT, which is an hour later than any other home regular-season game.
But if the Yankees rally to win the series, the Brewers game will begin at 1:08 p.m., regardless of opponent, with the Yankees-Blue Jays game moved to 3:08 p.m. CT.
Brewers fans looking for a night game should be cheering for Boston to seal the deal in the Bronx during the early evening Oct. 1.
The Brewers game time Oct. 6 hasn’t been announced, but with only two MLB playoff games that day, fans can expect it to roughly follow the same format as the American League games Oct. 5 — 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. CT start times.
