San Diego got a run across against Cubs opener Andrew Kittredge in the top of the first inning, and four pitchers combined on a four-hit shutout as the Padres evened the series with a 3-0 victory on Wednesday afternoon. Manny Machado padded the lead with a two-run homer in the fifth inning. Dylan Cease was pulled after 69 pitches with two outs in the fourth, and Adrián Morejón, Mason Miller, and Robert Suarez allowed just one hit the rest of the way. Miller struck out five of the six batters he faced.

Chicago mounted a threat in the fourth when Seiya Suzuki doubled, and the Padres opted to walk Carson Kelly. The left-handed Morejón was summoned and induced Cubs star Pete Crow-Armstrong to ground out. Chicago managed only four hits in the loss.

The Cubs give the ball to right-hander Jameson Taillon (11-7) for Game 3 while San Diego counters with veteran right-hander Yu Darvish (5-5)

This is a great MLB baseball matchup that you will not want to miss; make sure to tune in and catch all the action.
