ABBYGAIL NELSON

My favorite Mariner of all-time is Cal Raleigh, only because he is doing something for the team collectively that not a lot of people have done. He stayed with a minimal amount of money. He wants to change the whole program, not just do it for the money. Also, look at his butt.

John Olerud. I always thought it was funny that he had a helmet on even when he was in the field.

Who is your current favorite Mariner?

Probably Cal Raleigh, but I love Josh Naylor’s current vibes. I feel like he’s the X factor this team needed, because he’s a badass.

ERIK SEARLE

Man, Cal. Having been following the team for a long time, he kind of was the catalyst for management making the moves they made this year to try and make the team better. Because it’s been kind of a fight all those years getting ownership to spend money and make moves. He kind of called them out a couple years ago and is leading the charge on the field. Naylor is a close second already.

JOSH ADAMS

That’s a tough one. This is a deep cut, but I have to say Mike Cameron. The reason being he had impossible shoes to fill when Ken Griffey Jr. left. And he stepped up to it. No one was expecting anything from him, and he killed it and was part of the 2001 record-setting team. Everyone thinks I’m weird when I say that, but I respect the hell out of what he did.

RYAN FISHER

So I moved to Washington in 2000, so at the time it was right at the end of the A-Rod and Griffey era. So Ichiro is the one I was able to watch from day one. He comes in as a rookie and wins an MVP straight off the bat. Just consistently one of the best hitters every single year.
