Major League Baseball playoff ticket prices at American Family Field are steadily rising as Chicago natives have learned they’ll only have to travel 90 miles to watch their Cubs play the Milwaukee Brewers in the National League Division Series.
The Cubs defeated the San Diego Padres in the wild-card series on Oct. 2, moving on to the NLDS and a matchup with their rival — the top-seeded Brewers.

Game 1 is Saturday, Oct. 4, at American Family Field, while Game 2 is Monday, Oct. 6, before the series returns to Wrigley Field in Chicago. If the best-of-5 series advances to a decisive fifth game, that would be played on Oct. 11 back in Milwaukee.
Chicagoans will only need to travel a short distance up Interstate 94. Some Brewers fans grew concerned on social media that many Brewers fans will opt to sell their tickets to Cubs fans because the revenue is so enticing. Cubs fans have taken a liking to the idea, referring to the Brewers’ stadium as “Wrigley Field North.”
Before the Cubs game concluded, prices were about $125 to $130 for standing-room-only, but have rose higher since the final pitch to over $200.

Rivals aside, the matchup is also between a Whitefish Bay native, Cubs manager Craig Counsell, and his childhood team and a club he once managed.
