SEATTLE — Alaska Airlines is offering an additional flight to go from Seattle and Detroit to help Mariners fans support their team at away games, the airline announced Thursday.

The airline has scheduled an extra flight on Monday morning, featuring a special event at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, according to airline officials.
Passengers will fly on the Seattle Mariners-themed aircraft, which showcases the team’s logo, Mariner Moose, and the phrase “Fly, Fly Away,” honoring Hall of Famer Dave Niehaus.
The event will include a DJ and an appearance by the Mariner Moose, airline officials said.
Alaska Airlines, a partner of the Mariners since 2001, expressed pride in the team’s recent achievement as American League West champions in a statement.
