Detroit ― It wasn’t a certainty, but now it is.

Playoff baseball is coming back to Comerica Park, with the Tigers beating the Cleveland Guardians to advance to the American League Division Series against the Seattle Mariners.

The Tigers will host a minimum of one game in the series, and possibly two, and tickets are going fast for Game 3 on Tuesday and an if-necessary Game 4 on Wednesday.

As of late Friday morning, there were limited tickets available for Game 3 at Comerica Park via a search at tigers.com. Only select upper grandstand seats and standing-room-only tickets were available, starting at about $124.

There were more tickets available for Game 4, which will be played if the best-of-five series isn’t a sweep. There are tickets available in the mezzanine, upper box infield, upper reserve infield, upper grandstand and skyline, as well as standing-room-only tickets. The get-in price for a possible Game 4 also is around $124.

For both games, the Tiger are offering two tiers of SRO tickets, the higher tier including access to the Tiger Club. Those tickets are going for around $200.

Tigers postseason tickets were made available first to season ticket-holders, who also had the option to buy additional tickets. A public sale began shortly before the end of the regular season.

Games 1 and 2 will be played at T-Mobile Park in Seattle on Saturday and Sunday, and if the series returns to Seattle for Game 5, that will be played Friday, Oct. 10.

The Tigers beat the Guardians, 2-1, in the best-of-three Wild Card Series in Cleveland at Progressive Field, which wasn’t sold out for any of the three games. The Tigers won, 6-3, in Game 3 on Thursday to advance to the ALDS.

The Tigers have played 25 postseason games at Comerica Park, which opened in 2000, and have sold out all of them.
