Mad Max is about to add another record to his legendary career. The future Hall of Famer could become part of another unique club should he placed on the ALDS roster for the Toronto Blue Jays.Only four other players in MLB history have appeared in a postseason game with six different teams. Interestingly enough, two of the four happen to be former Blue Jays – third baseman Josh Donaldson and pitcher David Wells.
Do you think Max Scherzer makes the ALDS Rosters?
Postseason status still uncertain, could start game 4 for Blue Jays
Given his last two starts, it’s not a 100% guarantee that Scherzer gets named to the Blue Jays’ ALDS roster. With Kevin Gausman, Shane Bieber, and Chris Bassitt likely to start the first three games, Scherzer would be competing with rookie Trey Yesavage for the ball in game four. It is also possible that one of them moves to the bullpen.
Still, Mad Max has a career track record to warrant inclusion on the roster.
Whatever happens, his first appearance will be a part of history.
