Among the prospects, Tennessee right-handed pitcher Tanner Franklin ranks No. 106 overall. He ranks as the No. 22 right-handed pitcher on the prospect list.

“Franklin ranks among the NCAA Division I leaders in overall and in-zone swing-and-miss rate with his fastball, no real surprise considering it operates at 94-98 mph and reaches 102 with huge carry and some armside run,” Franklin’s scouting profile says. “He also throws one of the hardest cutters in college baseball, averaging 90 mph with a peak of 93, though it doesn’t miss nearly as many bats as his heater.”

The Jefferson City, Tennessee native played his first two seasons in college at Kennesaw State before returning to Tennessee.

Franklin made 23 regular-season appearances for the Vols in 2025. He pitched 33 innings and totaled 45 strikeouts, while allowing 36 hits, 19 runs and seven walks.
