Bethel Baseball Classic will raise funds to help area veterans

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WSBT) — College athletes are looking for community support in raising money for military veterans in South Bend.

The second annual Bethel Baseball Classic will take place at Four Winds Field on Tuesday.

Half of the proceeds from the game will go straight to the newly opened Mishawaka Troop Town and their efforts to house veterans and their families.

A check will be presented to the organization during the seventh inning stretch.

Gates will open at 5:30 p.m., with the first pitch scheduled to be thrown out at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets can be bought online or at the gate.

Presale tickets online are being sold at a discounted rate, at just $5. For an additional $5, the presale ticket will come with a food voucher.

Any tickets bought at the gate will cost $10, but does not include a food voucher.
