The Detroit Tigers wrap up their weekend set against the Toronto Blue Jays on Sunday afternoon north of the border.

The Tigers opened up the weekend series with a hard-fought win on Friday night. However, the offense that was there in the first game against the Blue Jays, and the last three games at home against the Boston Red Sox, disappeared on Saturday afternoon.

Kerry Carpenter hit a solo home run in the second inning to give the visitors the lead. However, that was all Detroit was able to put forth in the contest. The Tigers were limited to just four hits in the game, failing to score for the remainder of the afternoon.

However, Toronto, who had struggled for most of the game against Reese Olson, got to the Bengals’ bullpen by tying the game in the eighth inning, before walking things off in the ninth to win the game 2-1, avoiding a loss for the third game in a row.
