KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – The Kansas City Royals and Commerce Bank partnered with a goal of “Helping Kids Take the Field.”
The campaign collected more than 5,000 pieces of youth baseball and softball equipment to donate to non-profit organizations.
Alex Gordon and Royals rookie pitcher Noah Cameron both helped the effort to get young athletes on the field. They each donated to the effort.
“For decades, Commerce Bank has stood proudly beside the Royals — not just as a partner in baseball, but as a champion for the Kansas City community,” Kevin Barth, Commerce Bank chairman and CEO, said.

Kansas City’s Urban Youth Academy and the non-profit Pony Express Baseball located in St. Joseph benefited from the donations.
“By equipping thousands of young athletes with the gear they need, we’re not just supporting the game — we’re investing in the dreams, confidence, and future of our youth across the region,” Barth said.
