The Seattle Mariners were scheduled to play the Detroit Tigers in Game 3 of the 2025 MLB American League Division Series at 1:08 p.m. PT/4:08 p.m. ET on Tuesday, Oct. 7, but the game has been delayed due to bad weather.

Game 3 of the ALDS between the Mariners and Tigers has been delayed due to “inclement weather,” according to an X post shared by the Detroit Tigers organization.

It wasn’t clear how long the delay would last. No estimated time was given for the game to start.

“Updates will be provided when available,” reads the Tigers’ X post, which was shared at 12:17 p.m. PT/3:17 p.m. ET.

The National Weather Service reported that showers were likely and thunderstorms were possible on the afternoon of Tuesday, Oct. 7, in downtown Detroit, where Comerica Park is located.

The weather was expected to be cloudy with a high of around 59 degrees. Showers were “likely” before 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET, the agency reported.
