BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – Bangor Adaptive Baseball is gearing up for its fifth Local Celebrity Game to end the season.
This year has a cause close to the players and coaches.
The game at Mansfield Stadium will be a fundraiser for James Forrest, who has terminal brain cancer.
“James is one of our best friends. He’s one of the nicest, kindest guys you’ll ever meet. It spurs us on to play not only for each other, and people in the stands, but for James too,” said Jack Williams, shortstop, pitcher.
First pitch is next Sunday at 1 p.m.
There will be a pre-game Touch-A-Truck starting at 10 a.m.
