After leading his team to the Region 1B title game and another state playoff appearance last season on the baseball diamond, standout Generals starting pitcher/outfielder Landon Elder has chosen to continue his academic & athletic career at Ferrum College next fall.
The senior southpaw was named to the All-Dogwood District 1st team as well receiving 1st team All-Region & Class 1 All-State accolades for his performance as the ace of the Generals pitching staff and for setting the table at the top of the order as one of the best hitters in the area serving as the lead-off man for William Campbell during his stellar career. Elder joins his former Generals teammate & 2023 Class 1 State Player of the Year Tyler Mason, who is a rising junior utility player this season for the Panthers.
