Brewers fans travel to Chicago by Amtrak for playoff baseball

Milwaukee Brewers fans boarded the Amtrak train in Milwaukee for Chicago for the playoff game against the Chicago Cubs

The Milwaukee Brewers are returning to Wrigley Field one last time in 2025 on Oct. 9 for Game 4 of the National League Division Series, and it’s going to be a late night.

The Brewers will play their game at 8:08 p.m. CT. There was a chance the game would get bumped up two hours to 6:08 p.m., but that required the Dodgers to sweep the Phillies on Oct. 8. Instead, the Phillies beat the Dodgers, 8-2, and those teams will play at 3:08 p.m. CT on Oct. 9, with the Brewers and Cubs game going later.

Neither the Brewers nor Cubs have announced a starting pitcher for the game as of postgame news conferences following Game 3, when the Cubs survived with a 4-3 victory to stave off elimination. The Brewers still lead the series, two games to one. It stands to reason Chicago will use Matthew Boyd in some capacity.

If the Cubs beat Milwaukee again, Game 5 will take place Oct. 11 at American Family Field, and again with two possible times. It’ll be a 3:38 p.m. start time if the Dodgers-Phillies series also reaches a fifth game, and it’ll be a 7:08 p.m. start otherwise.
