Banana Ball is coming back to Colorado next summer, a relief for those stuck with the Colorado Rockies and looking for alternative baseball options in the Mile High City.

With new rules and a new historic opponent, the Bananas will take over Coors Field on Aug. 14 and 15 during the club’s 2026 world tour, which will cover 75 stadiums across 45 states with an expectation of over 3 million fans.

The fast-paced, trick-play version of the old ball game stomped through LoDo this past summer to a roaring success. Tickets sold out and resale tickets were at playoff game or Taylor Swift levels of expensive, depending on where you were looking to sit. Aka, the seats were far more expensive than a normal Rockies game in the same park, let alone an event like Opening Day.

This year the team will play the newly re-launched Indianapolis Clowns, a famed Negro League team that boasted stars like Hank Aaron. They were the first pro team to feature a woman.

Those who want to go to the game at Coors Field can try to score at bananaball.com/tickets. Tickets remain at a $35 base price, although MLB and larger venue games start at $40.

“This is the most ambitious tour and schedule we’ve ever embarked on,” Banana Ball creator Jesse Cole said in a statement. “Our goal was always to take Banana Ball to as many fans as possible. This year, we intentionally chose cities so fans from every part of the country could drive to a Banana Ball game.”

The Rockies will be close to losing their 100th game for the fourth straight season come mid-August of next year, so a side show might be a nice distraction from the horror show usually playing ball at Coors Field.
