With more than a week of time to reflect on the sudden end of the Red Sox’ season, it’s time to look back and grade the players who helped Boston win 89 games and reach the postseason for the first time since 2021.
The latest edition of MassLive’s Fenway Rundown podcast is a Red Sox report card, split in two parts: position players and pitchers. On the show, we grade each Red Sox player’s contributions in 2025… and explain why we gave the grades we gave out.
In Part I, we tackle Boston’s position players. A few, like Ali Sánchez, Jhostynxton Garcia, Blake Sabol, Nate Eaton and Nick Sogard, didn’t have enough plate appearances to warrant a grade. Others, like Triston Casas and Rafael Devers, got incomplete grades for obvious reasons. The rest, we graded.
