If you want to get the hottest ticket in baseball, the lottery closes on Halloween.
The Savannah Bananas, a traveling baseball team famous for their dance moves and silly antics on the field, have announced a world tour that’s making a stop at Disney World next year.
Fans of Banana Ball can catch the Party Animals playing the Loco Beach Coconuts at Disney’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex on May 29 and 30.
The team announced an expanded league that’s playing at 75 stadiums across 45 states in 2026. Other Florida stops include Feb. 26-28 in Tallahassee and July 2-4 in Jacksonville.
To purchase a $35 ticket next year at Disney World, people must sign up for a ticket lottery that closes Oct. 31, according to the Savannah Bananas’ website.
Disney World’s 9,500-seat stadium was home to the Atlanta Braves’ Spring Training for more than two decades until the team left in 2019.
Banana Baseball has become the hot ticket around the country, where you are just as likely to see a home run as you are to see someone bat on stilts or the pitcher break into a choreographed dance with the infield. This year, the teams went on a sold-out tour, playing at Boston’s Fenway Park and even getting star treatment in a Disneyland parade.
“Constantly keeping fans and players on their toes, Banana Ball is quickly becoming the fastest and most entertaining game in sports, featuring high-octane plays and entertainment-packed rules that are sure to put a smile on your face,” Disney said on its parks blog to announce the game.
“Whether a fan catches a foul ball (it counts as an out in the game) or a player tries to steal first base (yes, you read that correctly), this curveball on traditional baseball has continued to grow across the nation at home and in ballparks!”
Catching a Banana Ball game might be a cheerful moment for Orlando residents feeling down about a group’s efforts to get a MLB team falling apart, or Tampa Bay Ray fans currently watching the playoffs without them on TV.
