Guerrero Jr. hit .529 in his Blue Jays’ ALDS series win over their AL East rival, the Yankees.

But before the conclusion of the deciding game, a fan threw an object at Guerrero Jr.’s family in the stands.

A video showed the family yelling toward a fan in the rows behind them before a can was thrown.

The can appeared to hit a younger member of the Blue Jays star’s family in the head.

Stealing scandal

MLB commentators stunned at ‘blatant’ sign-stealing during playoff game

The fan then attempted to walk up the stairs as another joined him.

But the youngster and the other family member were stopped by people around him.

The others in the section looked upset by the situation, but order seemed to be restored.

A stadium security worker got to the scene and was able to keep the situation from growing further.

Longtime baseball writer Hector Gomez confirmed that the group that had the can thrown at them included Guerrero Jr.’s family.

“Fans attacked Vladimir Guerrero Jr.’s family members with plastic bottles,” Gomez wrote in an X post.

The shocking incident involving Guerrero Jr.’s family comes after Yankees fans booed the Canadian National Anthem in back-to-back games.

Guerrero Jr. would get the final laugh as he hit three home runs and recorded nine RBIs in the series.

The star appeared on the Fox MLB postgame show after Toronto celebrated with champagne in the clubhouse.

During his appearance, Guerrero Jr. trolled the Yankees by saying David Ortiz’s favorite catchphrase.

“Daaaaa Yankees lose!” he said.

Ortiz was in hysterics over the moment as the captures captured Yankees legend Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez.

The phrase comes from longtime Yankees radio voice John Sterling, who famously yelled “The Yankees win” following the Bronx Bombers’ wins.
