The goofiest team in baseball is coming to Minnesota next summer! The Savannah Bananas have taken over the world of baseball, and it seems like everyone and their mother knows about them now.
The Savannah Bananas and The Banana Ball League
If you aren’t one of those people, the Savannah Bananas are a baseball team that plays baseball, but they also make their own rules and have their own fun with it.

There’s a whole league dedicated to teams like this called The Banana Ball League, and it all started with the Savannah Bananas out of Savannah, GA.
On their website, they say this about how they play ball:
We are not your typical baseball team. We are different. We take chances. We toe the line. We test the rules. We challenge the way things are “supposed” to be.

They break out into dances, I’ve heard that if a fan catches a foul ball, they count it as an out, and there’s even one guy who plays in stilts. They’re kind of like the Harlem Globetrotters of baseball.
It’s madness! And they’re bringing that madness to Minnesota.

The Savannah Bananas Playing at Target Field
The Savannah Bananas will play the Loco Beach Coconuts at Target Field August 7th-9th, 2026.
I’m really hoping I get to go! The trouble is, tickets to these games go so fast that you have to enter a lottery to be selected to purchase tickets.
