It didn’t take long for the Detroit Tigers to create some fireworks Sunday in Toronto.

After charging out to a 2-0 lead in the top of the first against the Blue Jays, Akil Baddoo was a one-man show in left field in the bottom of the inning.

Bo Bichette and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. led off the inning with back-to-back singles off Jackson Jobe. Daulton Varsho then sent a ball deep to left but Baddoo went up high against the wall to rob Varsho of a likely two-RBI extra-base hit.

The next batter, Alejandro Kirk, hit a liner to left, but Baddoo made a diving catch, quickly got to his feet, and doubled off Bichette at second base. Inning over.

The Tigers took that 2-0 lead when Spencer Torkelson doubled to the wall in right-center, scoring Kerry Carpenter and Zach McKinstry, who had reached on singles.

The Tigers eventually defeated the Blue Jays, 3-2.
