Myrtle Beach High School football, baseball player named FNR Scholar Athlete

(WPDE) — Each week, ABC 15 and Benjamin Franklin Plumbing are proud to highlight a scholar athlete from each school playing in the Friday Night Rivals game.

This Friday’s scholar athlete is Jon Kelly, a football and baseball player from Myrtle Beach High School.

Jon has a 5.173 GPA and his academic and community achievements are as follows:

His athletic achievements include:

The Scholar Athletes are recognized for their achievements on the field, in the classroom and in the community.

The students selected will have an opportunity to win a $5,000 scholarship at the end of the season.

Over the past 8 seasons, FNR sponsors have donated over $70,000 to local schools and students.
