Cooper Albers breaks down the opening odds for the NLCS matchup between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Milwaukee Brewers.

The National League Championship Series is set, featuring a heavyweight clash between the regular-season-best Milwaukee Brewers and the reigning World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers secured a return to the NLCS on Thursday, defeating the Philadelphia Phillies in four games. Los Angeles plated the winning run in the 11th inning after Phillies pitcher Orion Kerkering bobbled a bases-loaded comebacker and threw it away in heartbreaking fashion.

Milwaukee, meanwhile, punched its ticket to the Championship Series for the first time since 2018 after taking the decisive Game 5 from the Chicago Cubs on Saturday night. The Brewers haven’t been to the Fall Classic since 1982, just one of five MLB teams to never win a World Series.

The Brewers, whose 97-65 record led the major leagues, will have home-field advantage in the best-of-seven series.

Still, Los Angeles opens as a -200 favorite to capture the NL pennant on DraftKings Sportsbook, with Milwaukee is listed as a +160 underdog. The odds favor a six-game series with over 5.5 games listed as a -160 favorite, while the odds of the series going to Game 7 are at +215.

First pitch for Game 1 is scheduled for 8:08 p.m. ET on Monday at American Family Field. DraftKings Sportsbook lists the Dodgers as -151 favorites and Brewers as +124 underdogs, with the total set at 7.5 runs.

Starters have yet to be announced for either team for the Championship Series opener.
