The Toronto Blue Jays will square off against the Seattle Mariners in the American League Championship Series, with Game 1 on Sunday night on FOX.

The American League’s top two seeds will be facing off in the 2025 ALCS. The number one-seeded Blue Jays finished the 2025 season 94-68 and secured their first championship series appearance since 2016. For number two, Seattle’s wait to return to the ALCS lasted decades. It’s their first appearance since 2001.

Toronto cruised its way past the Yankees in the ALDS. Superstar first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr. embarrassed New York. In the four-game series, he batted .529 with an OPS of 1.609. Guerrero clubbed three home runs, including a huge grand slam in game two. 

The Mariners were down to the wire against the Tigers. Game five’s thrilling 15 innings will go down as an all-time classic. Second baseman Jorge Polanco stepped up to the plate with one out and the bases loaded. Polanco hit a ball into shallow right, driving in shortstop J.P. Crawford to win the game 3-2. 

Both of these teams are incredibly deserving and hungry for the opportunity to play in the World Series. Toronto has not played in the World Series since winning back-to-back in 1992 and 1993. For Seattle, they are the only team in the MLB who have never played for a championship. 

Either way, the 2025 ALCS will be a series that you will want to keep your eyes on.
