Blue Jays vs. Mariners: The matchup
The Mariners stole a huge 3-1 road victory in Game 1 with three late runs in support of starting pitcher Bryce Miller, who earned his first playoff win with two hits and one run allowed over six innings. Slugging catcher Cal Raleigh launched a 420-feet home run to knot the game at 1-1 in the sixth inning, and Jorge Polanco drove in runs with RBI singles in the sixth and eighth inning to push the Mariners into the lead.

Going into Monday’s Game 2, the Blue Jays will turn to young right-hander Trey Yesavage (1-0, 3.21 ERA), who threw 5.1 no-hit innings with 11 strikeouts in his postseason debut in the ALDS against the Yankees. Seattle will counter with righty Logan Gilbert (6-6, 3.44 ERA), who has allowed just one run in eight innings so far this postseason.
