The Savannah Bananas are known for their joyous and silly brand of baseball, and they brought the show to Kansas City last month for a pair of games at Kauffman Stadium.
Since then, there has been mostly gloom at The K.

The Royals lost 4-0 to Tampa Bay on Thursday, and they scored just one run on 12 hits in the three games against the Rays. That is combined for all three games.
The Royals have lost their last 10 games at Kauffman Stadium, all in the month of June. Their last home victory came on May 31 — a 1-0 win over the Tigers.
Three days before that, the Royals defeated the Reds 3-2 at Kauffman Stadium, and those are the only victories for KC since May 19. The Royals have lost 13 of their last 15 at home.
And that means over the last five weeks, the Savannah Bananas have won as many games at Kauffman Stadium as the Royals.

Now, the Bananas games aren’t exactly competitive, much like the Harlem Globetrotters basketball contests. So, of course, it’s not an apples to apples comparison of baseball teams.
However, the Royals’ connection to the Savannah Bananas was shared on social media, although some mistakenly said the Bananas had won more games in the month of June at The K.
Unsurprisingly, the two-win connection to the Bananas didn’t sit well with Royals fans. Here is what they were saying about that and the team’s struggles.
