The final weekend of the 2025 college baseball regular season saw plenty of drama unfold in the ACC.

It took until the final day of the regular season before a conference champion was crowned on Saturday. That distinction went to the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, who came into the weekend in third place in the standings and left with the program’s first outright ACC title since 2005.

Georgia Tech, who was just outside the Top 25 rankings entering the week, defeated No. 24 Duke, 8-2, on Saturday in Durham to clinch the league title in a crowded race that also saw Florida State, North Carolina and NC State all vying for the top spot and No. 1 seed at this week’s ACC Baseball Championship. The conference tournament begins Tuesday at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in North Carolina.

Erik Bakich’s Clemson Tigers closed out their final regular season series with a 13-6 win over Pitt to cap off a three-game sweep of the Panthers. Clemson finished the regular season 41-15 overall, the most wins by any team in the ACC. The Tigers were 18-12 in conference play and are ranked No. 13 in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll.

What’s new for 2025: with 16 teams now making up the ACC’s tournament after the addition of California and Stanford, teams will compete in a single-elimination format. The top four seeds will received a double-bye into the quarterfinal rounds on Thursday and Friday, while teams seeded 5-8 will receive a single bye into the second round on Wednesday. Teams seeded 9-16 will begin play Tuesday.
