On Sunday as the Reds chased a sweep of the visiting Cleveland Guardians at Great American Ball Park, Benson hammered a 399-foot home run to right field.

The deep two-run shot was Benson’s fourth homer in as many games.

His first extended recall of 2025 for the Reds has been a picture of success this week for Benson, who entered Tuesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox due to a T.J. Friedl injury. Even when Friedl returned to the lineup by Friday, Benson wasn’t moved out of the Reds’ lineup.
At the time of his homer on Sunday, Benson was 2-for-2 on the day and his batting average continued climbing. It was up to .357 midway through the close-out game against Cleveland.
