This year’s Gold Glove winners will be unveiled during a one-hour, special-edition “Baseball Tonight” broadcast on ESPN Sunday, Nov. 2 at 8:30 p.m.

CLEVELAND — Four members of the Cleveland Guardians have been named finalists for the 2025 Rawlings Gold Glove Award at their respective positions. 

Rawlings Baseball announced the finalists on X Wednesday morning. The awards are given to the best defenders in each league at their respective positions. The winners will be unveiled during a one-hour, special-edition “Baseball Tonight” broadcast on ESPN Sunday, Nov. 2 at 8:30 p.m.

The Cleveland Guardians players included on this year’s list of American League Gold Glove finalists are:

Steven Kwan – Left field José Ramírez – Third base Daniel Schneeman – Utility Carlos Santana – First base

Kwan will be looking for his fourth consecutive Gold Glove glove for his play in the outfield, while Santana will be seeking his second straight Gold Glove after winning last year as a member of the Twins. Ramírez has never won a Gold Glove, although 2025 marks the sixth time that he has been a finalist. Schneeman, likewise, will be in search of his first Gold Glove.

This season, the Toronto Blue Jays led the AL and the Chicago Cubs topped the NL with six finalists each.

Here’s how Rawlings determines the winners of the Gold Glove awards:

“To determine the winners of the 18 defensive position Awards, each team’s manager and up to six coaches on his staff vote from a pool of qualified players in their League and cannot vote for players from their own team. In 2013, Rawlings added the SABR Defensive Index™ (SDI) to the Rawlings Gold Glove Award selection process, which comprises approximately 25 percent of the overall selection total, with the managers’ and coaches’ votes continuing to carry the majority.”
