The Milwaukee Brewers aren’t the only top-seeded team with home-field advantage that failed to win either of its first two games in its ballpark in an MLB league championship series.

The Toronto Blue Jays, the No. 1 seed in the American League, are facing an 0-2 hole against the Seattle Mariners and are heading on the road with history not on their side.

Game 3 of the American League Championship Series between the Blue Jays and Mariners is Oct. 15 in Seattle.

The second-seeded Mariners won a tight Game 1 in Toronto and then brought out the power to run away for a Game 2 victory to ruin Thanksgiving Day in Canada on Oct. 13 and take a commanding 2-0 series lead.

The Mariners head back to the Pacific Northwest just two wins away from their first World Series appearance. They’ll have three games over the next three days in front of their home fans to accomplish the feat.

The American League gets the stage to itself for Game 3, with the Brewers and the Los Angeles Dodgers on a travel day to Los Angeles in the NLCS.
