The Arizona Diamondbacks are hiring JR House as their new third-base coach, according to a report Oct. 15 from the Arizona Republic’s Nick Piecoro.

House, who lives in Arizona, has been the Cincinnati Reds‘ third-base coach for the past seven seasons.

Piecoro reported that House will also take on the role of catching coach for Arizona.

House was hired by former Reds manager David Bell in 2018 as the third base/catching coach.

House was a minor-league manager, hitting coach and field coordinator with the D’backs for the first seven years of his coaching career.
