The Verona volleyball team swept Sun Prairie West 3-0 in its regular-season finale on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at Sun Prairie West High School.
The Wildcats (27-5) received a No. 1 seed in the WIAA Division 1 tournament and enter postseason play with an 11-match win streak. Ten of those victories have been sweeps. Verona will host the winner of eighth-seeded Oregon and ninth-seeded Elkhorn in a regional final on Saturday, Oct. 25.
Sophomore Macy Stremlow racked up a team-high 21 kills and tied for a team-best eight digs. Senior Sophia Trias also had eight digs. Senior Anna Haines led Verona in assists and aces with 34 and five, respectively.
