I am going to console myself that while the Guardians winning a pennant would be endlessly cool, losing to this Dodgers team would have been really demoralizing.
I am honestly surprised at just how thoroughly the Dodgers dismantled the Brewers. They look like they play different sports. And, I would generally love to celebrate Shohei Ohtani hitting three home runs and throwing six scoreless innings, striking out 10… but it just feels so wrong that LA has built this Death Star of a team. I can’t even mentally convince myself that this is somehow good for the game.
To top it all off, the Surprise Saguaros lost last night and I am starting to wonder if Wuilfredo Antunez is hurt because he hasn’t been in the lineup for a bit.
Well, at least the Mariners won which sends the ALCS back to Toronto with Seattle holding a 3-2 lead in the series. Eugenio Suarez hit a grand slam to give Seattle the lead and the victory, which was cool. No baseball today, play resumes at 8:03PM EST in Toronto.
