The Seattle Mariners and Toronto Blue Jays meet for Game 6 of their best-of-7 AL Championship Series Sunday at Rogers Centre in Toronto, Ontario. The Mariners lead the series 3-2. First pitch is scheduled for 8:03 p.m. ET (FS1). Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s MLB odds around the Mariners vs. Blue Jays odds and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Regular-season series: Blue Jays won 4-2

In Game 5 on Friday, the Mariners became the first team in the series to win at home, prevailing 6-2 as +100 underdogs. They trailed 2-1 in the bottom of the eighth inning before C Cal Raleigh tied it with a solo shot (No. 63 this season). Several batters later, trade deadline acquisition 3B Eugenio Suarez belted a grand slam, which will go down in the annal of Seattle baseball history, putting the M’s on the precipice of their first World Series appearance — as the NL champions LA Dodgers await.

The grand slam was a difficult pill for Under (7) bettors to swallow, as they were on the right side all night until the 5-run explosion by Seattle to flip the total to an Over.

Toronto has had mixed results at home in the postseason. It won 2 games against the New York Yankees Oct. 4-5 by a 23-8 margin, but it lost the first 2 games of this series by a 13-4 margin. In Game 1, DH George Springer swatted a solo HR to give his team a brief 1-0 lead before falling 3-1. In Game 2, OF Nathan Lukes was 3-for-4 with a run scored and RBI to serve as the hitting start.

With a win, the Blue Jays can force a Game 7, as they try to get back to the World Series for the first time since winning back-to-back titles in 1992-93 behind manager Cito Gaston.

Mariners at Blue Jays picks and predictionsPrediction

Blue Jays 4, Mariners 3

The BLUE JAYS (-125) are worth a look in Game 6, as Toronto looks to force a decisive Game 7. The home team is still just 1-4 in the first 5 games of this season, and it’s tough to get excited about a rookie right-hander with the season on the line. However, Gilbert was very mediocre on the road this season.

The Mariners +1.5 (-210) are a bit too expensive, if you require a little bit of insurance, and you just can’t trust Seattle straight up for whatever reason. Risking more than 2 times your potential return is too much. If you were to use a boost or promo, it could be excused. Otherwise, AVOID.

UNDER 7.5 (-105) is the lean in Game 6, but go with a half-unit play at best.

The Over has cashed in the past 4 games in this series, although the total did go low in Game 1 in Toronto. Be careful, though, as the Over is 2-0 in both previous postseason starts by Gilbert and Yesavage.
