Former Chicago White Sox pitcher Dallas Keuchel on Oct. 2 placed his four-bedroom, 3,600-square-foot house in Lakeview’s Southport Corridor area on the market for $2.245 million.

About a week after he listed the contemporary-style home, Keuchel, 37, increased his asking price to $2.345 million.

After a career with two other teams that included a Cy Young Award and a World Series title, Keuchel was signed by the Sox to a three-year, $55.5 million contract at the end of 2019. The left-hander struggled in the latter two seasons of that deal, and the team released him in mid-2022. Since that time, Keuchel has pitched for six other major league organizations, plus in Japan.

In Lakeview, Keuchel paid $2.14 million at the start of 2020 to buy the house from its builder. Features include five bathrooms, an open layout and a lower level with radiant floors, a rec room with a wet bar and a guest bedroom with a walk-in closet. The second floor master suite has dual walk-in closets, separate vanities, a soaking tub, a steam shower, heated floors and a dressing room, while the third floor has a flex area with a wet bar, a full bathroom and access to two outdoor spaces.

Outside on the property are a back patio, a wood-burning fireplace and a rooftop deck above the two-car garage.

Listing agent Rena Trapani of Dumas & Associates declined to comment on the listing.

The house had a $9,811 property tax bill in the 2023 tax year.
