Today’s question of the day is pretty simple: who wins tonight?
The Mariners had a chance to move on to the World Series last night, but they started swinging at everything under God’s blue sky. Trey Yesavage was very good in his start, but the Mariners had him on the ropes a few times by loading the bases twice and grounding into double plays. I’m still not sure why Cal Raleigh swung at the first pitch after Yesavage has just walked two straight hitters.
The Blue Jays showed some pluck by bouncing back from the devastating grand slam on Friday night, forcing this game this evening in front of their home crowd. I don’t think we’ll ever see a moment like the Jose Bautista home run from a decade ago, but if ever there was a chance for that to happen, tonight is the night.
Give me the Mariners in this one, 5-3.
