The Toronto Blue Jays’ 4-3 victory over the Seattle Mariners in Game 7 of the American League Championship Series on Monday was the most-watched Blue Jays game ever on Sportsnet.

Between Sportsnet and Sportsnet+, the Jays’ 4-3 win drew an average of 6 million Canadian viewers. The previous high was Game 6 of the 2015 ALCS, which averaged 5.1 million viewers.

According to Sportsnet, Game 7 audiences peaked at 8.3 million around 11 p.m. ET when Toronto pitcher Jeff Hoffman struck out Seattle’s Julio Rodriguez for the game’s final out.

Rogers Communications, which owns both the team and the network, reaped an average of 4.4 million viewers during the seven-game series, with 15.9 million Canadians tuning in at some point. Overall, the MLB Postseason on Sportsnet is averaging 1.4 million viewers and has reached 17.4 million Canadians to date.

Game 1 of the World Series between the Blue Jays and Los Angeles Dodgers is Friday at 8 p.m. ET. Fox Sports has the national broadcast rights in the U.S., while Sportsnet will carry the game in Canada.

While the Dodgers’ four-game sweep of the Milwaukee Brewers in the NLCS was not the same ratings bonanza as last year’s Mets-Dodgers NLCS, Game 4 of the series was a hit in one regard Shohei Ohtani tossed six scoreless innings on the mound, and hit three home runs at the plate — a performance some hailed as the greatest individual effort ever in a postseason game.

MLB Network re-aired the game twice Tuesday. Ohtani also delivered the most viewed two-day period ever for MLB’s YouTube video on demand content, with 16.4 million views over two days.

Ohtani’s performance also resulted in MLB’s Instagram account having its third-most viewed day on record, with 119.6 million views Saturday.  Only the Dodgers’ World Series win last year, and the Freddie Freeman World Series walk-off grand slam, drew more eyeballs.
