Good morning, baseball fans!

Today I wanted to highlight a post from Gabe Lehman of SF Gate from earlier this week that touches on a topic that is near and dear to not only my heart, but the hearts of San Francisco Giants fans everywhere. That topic is the sighting of an elusive figure from the Pacific Northwest. That’s right, bigfoot Tim Lincecum!

Lincecum last played for the Giants 10 years ago, but he does seem to still live in the area. He’s been spotted at various concerts, protests and events over the years, but has only made one appearance at Oracle Park since his playing days ended. That was for Bruce Bochy’s “retirement” celebration back in 2019. Fans may remember that Lincecum was unable to attend the 10-year reunion celebration for the 2012 World Series back in 2022 as, heartbreakingly, his wife had passed away earlier that year.

While fans may not see their favorite long-haired, legendary, Forever Giant as often as they might like to, they are always very excited when they spot him in the wild. Which, per Lehman’s reporting, has started to become more of a regular occurrence lately.

Lincecum was seen dining at Original Joe’s Westlake on Sunday, and took photos with staff and fans alike.

I know we have bigger news at the moment, but I wanted to share this for my fellow Timmy fans. Also this great quote from a fan that commented on the post above:

“Does he wanna manage a baseball team ?!?”

While that job seems to be taken now (probably, as of the time this is being written it has not yet been announced), I’m still going to hold out hope that Buster Posey might be able to talk his former battery mate into getting more involved with the team in the future. Even if it’s just stopping by from time to time.
