Detroit ― Two Tigers are up for the Silver Slugger Award.

Left fielder Riley Greene and utility player Zach McKinstry on Thursday were named finalists for the Silver Slugger, which is awarded to the best offensive player at each position. The awards are presented by Louisville Slugger.

Greene, who set career highs in home runs (36) and RBIs (111), but also strikeouts (201), is one of six finalists for the three Silver Sluggers to be awarded to American League outfielders. Other finalists are Aaron Judge and Cody Bellinger of the New York Yankees, Byron Buxton of the Minnesota Twins, Julio Rodriguez of the Seattle Mariners and George Springer of the Toronto Blue Jays.

The Tigers have had three outfielders win a Silver Slugger, but none since J.D. Martinez in 2015.

McKinstry, who had a career-best 2.8 WAR and .771 OPS, is a finalist at the utility position, along with Ben Rice of the Yankees and Maikel Garcia of the Kansas City Royals.

The Tigers have never had a Silver Slugger winner at the utility position, which was added in 2022.

The Tigers last Silver Slugger at any position was Miguel Cabrera, at first base in 2016. Eighteen different Tigers have won a Silver Slugger, including six winning multiple times. Cabrera holds the franchise record with five.

Greene and McKinstry both were AL All-Stars in 2025, with fellow position players Javy Baez (center field) and Gleyber Torres (second base), representing a Tigers offense that was among the best in the AL for the first half of the season, before struggling down the stretch.

Louisville Slugger will announce the winners of the AL and NL Silver Slugger Awards on Thursday, Nov. 6.
