The Milwaukee Brewers announced Thursday the team promoted General Manager Matt Arnold to president of baseball operations and general manager.Arnold, 46, joined the Brewers in October 2015 as vice president and assistant general manager. He was promoted to senior vice president and assistant general manager in June 2019 and to senior vice president and general manager in November 2020. During his time in Milwaukee, the team has qualified for the postseason seven times (2018-21, 2023-25) and has won five National League Central Division championships (2018, 2021, 2023-25). “I am humbled and honored to be a part of what we have built in Milwaukee,” Arnold said in a news release. “This is a truly a team effort, led by the great support from ownership to the tremendous contributions of our baseball operations department, field staff and all of the outstanding players in the organization over the years. I look forward to continuing to work tirelessly to build upon what we have accomplished.” Arnold was named 2024 MLB Executive of the Year, voted on by executives from all 30 clubs, becoming the first Brewers executive to earn the honor. The Milwaukee Brewers announced Thursday the team promoted General Manager Matt Arnold to president of baseball operations and general manager.
Arnold, 46, joined the Brewers in October 2015 as vice president and assistant general manager. He was promoted to senior vice president and assistant general manager in June 2019 and to senior vice president and general manager in November 2020.
During his time in Milwaukee, the team has qualified for the postseason seven times (2018-21, 2023-25) and has won five National League Central Division championships (2018, 2021, 2023-25).
