Joel Goldberg will speak at the Dillon Lecture Series on Oct. 28 in Hutchinson.

The event will take place at 10:30 a.m. at the Hutchinson Sports Arena, according to a community announcement.

Goldberg is an award-winning broadcaster and the longtime voice of the Kansas City Royals. He joined the Royals’ television broadcast team in 2008 and hosts pregame and postgame programming on FOX Sports Kansas City and Bally Sports KC.

Goldberg’s experience in sports broadcasting has allowed him to build relationships with athletes, coaches and management.

The Dillon Lecture Series, now in its 44th year, has featured a variety of speakers, including poets, politicians, scientists and national figures. The program is grounded in the belief that “learning is the key to enlightenment,” and each lecture is chosen by the Dillon Lecture Committee to educate, inspire, and provoke thoughtful conversation.

Goldberg’s lecture will focus on leadership, storytelling, teamwork and communication. He will share insights from his 25-year career in sports media, highlighting lessons that are applicable to business, community and personal growth.
