Vitale did the thing.
He made the leap.
I was skeptical it would happen.
Um, I should stop predicting where managers go, so I stop looking stupid and having, you know, have to bike to Chicago and whatnot.
But this is legitimately the most shocking managerial news since.
Tony La Russa was hired by the Chicago White Sox.
Yeah, and this is obviously shocking for for a hundred million other reasons.
Um, but yeah, I mean, this is incredible.
I wish we could do a whole podcast on this, and maybe we will at some point this offseason.
Vitale will be introduced officially, I believe on Thursday, the off day or maybe the World Series is over, who knows, um, his comments, first comments as a professional baseball employee, I cannot wait.

I don’t even want to like spoil any of it.
I just encourage people to go read it because it is, it’s just, it’s, that’s Tony, and people are learning that very quickly.
As I mentioned, the notion that this dude is gonna talk into microphones, you know, upwards of 500 times a season now is, is pretty hard to believe.
There are so many things about this that are, that are so interesting and uh I can’t wait for, for this first, this first glimpse in, in an official capacity.

Sitting up there on the podium with Buster Posey, man, I mean, this is just gonna be something to behold, so.

What kind of moves they make coming off yet another season magnetically tethered to 500.
I can promise you this, yeah.
The 2026 Giants will not be boring.
