An infamous MLB fan has been taking heat on social media for his behavior during Game 3 of the 2025 World Series.
The Los Angeles Dodgers topped the Toronto Blue Jays, 6-5, in extra innings in Game 3 of the 2025 World Series on Monday evening. The extra innings game went all the way into the 18th inning. Dodgers star Freddie Freeman ended the game with a solo home run in the bottom of the 18th inning. Los Angeles now has a 2-1 series lead heading into Game 4 on Tuesday evening.

“That could go down as one of the greatest games of all time,” manager Dave Roberts said postgame.
Freeman’s homer came in the bottom of the 18th inning, off a sinker from Blue Jays pitcher Brendon Little. Freeman drilled the full-count pitch 406 feet over the center field wall. The game lasted 6 hours, 39 minutes and matched the record for most innings ever in a postseason game.

But while thousands of fans remained in Dodger Stadium for all 18 innings, one infamous MLB fan is taking heat for his behavior during the game.

Marlins Man, the infamous MLB fan who wears a bright orange Marlins jersey and hat to basically every big postseason game, had his phone out behind home plate for the entirety of the extra innings.
The infamous MLB fan was determined to record the game-winning hit.
MLB fans call out ‘Marlins Man’
Marlins Man, whose real name is Laurence Leavy, was accused by some MLB fans of ruining the moment on Monday evening.
“Thank goodness Marlins Man is recording every single pitch. How else would we ever see the eventual game winning play?” one fan said sarcastically.

“Marlins Man’s phone has to die at some point,” one fan added.
“Hot take; Marlins man should be banned from all stadiums,” one fan added.
“sometimes i wonder how much money the marlins man has bc how can he afford all of these games and sit directly behind home plate every time,” one fan added.
“Marlins man has been taking videos of every pitch for 4 (expletive) hours,” one fan added.
“Watch the game instead of filming it, loser,” another fan added.

Game 4 of the 2025 World Series is set for Tuesday evening. First pitch will come shortly after 8 p.m. E.T. on FOX.
