Alabama is looking to bounce back after getting upset in the first round of last year’s tournament as a seven-seed. This will be the Crimson Tide’s 33rd all-time appearance in the SEC Tournament, which ranks fourth overall in conference history. They’re looking for their eighth conference title, and first since 2003.

This past season the Tide won 40 games for just the second time since 2011, doing so in their second season under head coach Rob Vaughn. That includes a three-game sweep of Missouri in Tuscaloosa back in late April. The Tide scored at least seven runs in all three games, putting up 26 runs total.

Missouri is back in the tournament after missing last year. The Tigers are making their eighth appearance since joining the SEC in 2013. In their most recent appearance in 2023, they lost in the first round as a No. 12 seed against Auburn.
