The World Series is back in action on Friday, Oct. 31 and it has returned to Canada for Game 6 where the Toronto Blue Jays look to close out the Los Angeles Dodgers at the Rogers Centre in Toronto.
The game is scheduled to start at 8 p.. EDT and will be broadcast on FOX and FOX Deportes. Fans looking to watch this MLB game for free can do so using DIRECTV, which offers a free trial. The series went to Los Angeles tied at 1-1, and after losing an 18-inning Game 3, the Blue Jays responded in Games 4 and 5 to bring a 3-2 lead back home with a chance to clinch their first World Series since 1993. The title in ‘93 was clinched in Game 6 with Joe Carter’s famous walk-off home run.
Game 5 opened up with back-to-back home runs from lead-off hitter Davis Schneider and first baseman Vladimir Guerrero Jr., who also went deep early in Game 4.
The Dodgers will be looking at Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts and Freddie Freeman at the top of their lineup to provide some extra pop after being limited to 2 runs in Game 4 and 1 in Game 5. Luckily for Los Angeles, they are sending arguably their best pitcher this postseason to the mound on Friday in Yoshinobu Yamamoto, who has pitched 1-run complete games in his last two starts, including a GAme 2 win in Toronto where he struck out eight while only allowing four hits.
Toronto will once again turn to Kevin Gausman, who allowed two home runs and 3 runs in 6.2 innings in a Game 2 loss. Gausman also only allowed four hits and no walks while striking out six.
