The New York Giants (2-6) host the San Francisco 49ers (5-3) this Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
The Niners are 2.5-point favorites, and the over/under is currently 48.5 total points, per BetMGM.
Here are our three top prop bets for this week’s game.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. OVER 100 total yards from scrimmage (+210)
Cam Skattebo was a huge part of the offensive plan, and he’s gone. That means that Tyrone Tracy Jr., who is actually the Giants’ top running back on the depth chart, will get a full complement of touches in this game. With the Niners missing star linebacker Fred Warner for the rest of the season, they are vulnerable against the run. Tracy is, as we know, a big part of the passing game as well. The 49ers allowed 475 total yards of offense to the Texans last week, so they could struggle in this game and beyond.
Giants TE Theo Johnson anytime TD scorer (+135)
Since Jaxson Dart took over at quarterback, the Giants have gone from the worst red zone offense in the NFL to one of the best. Again, no Warner for San Francisco has weakened them considerably. They are also next to last in sacks and have just one interception on the season. Theo Johnson has become a solid red zone option for Dart, and they should have several chances to connect in this game.
49ers WR Kendrick Bourne OVER 75 receiving yards (+525)
Kendrick Bourne has been relatively quiet the past two weeks, but get ready to hear his name a lot on Sunday. The Giants have both starting cornerbacks (Paulson Adebo, Cor’Dale Flott) out this week, as well as one of their reserves (Art Green). A fourth (Rico Payton) is questionable, as is starting safety Jevon Holland. Jauan Jennings is the top wide receiver target, and he’ll have the lion’s share, as will tight end George Kittle, but there’ll be enough runoff for Bourne to hit this number.
