ARLINGTON, Texas (KWTX) – On November 1, 2023, the Texas Rangers won the World Series for the first time in franchise history.

The Rangers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 5 to 0 in Game 5 of the series.

Shortstop Corey Seager became the fourth player in MLB history to win the World Series MVP for a second time.

To celebrate their first win in the team’s 52-year history, thousands of fans joined the team in Arlington for a victory parade.

Arlington officials say there were 400,000 to 700,000 people in attendance to mark the historic win.
