KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A date that will forever go down in history for Kansas City sports fans.
Saturday, Nov. 1, marks 10 years since the Kansas City Royals won the World Series, their first one since 1985.

The team, including Hosmer, Mike Moustakas, Alcides Escobar, Salvador Perez and Lorenzo Cain, Alex Gordon and the late Yordano Ventura were treated like, well royals, upon their return to Kansas City with the trophy.
The 2015 postseason was full of comebacks and made up for the previous year’s near-miss Game 7 loss to San Francisco.

A few days following the World Series win, a sea of blue greeted the champs as they returned to KC for their victory parade. Although it’s impossible to know exactly how many people packed the parade route, some estimates were as high as 800,000 fans.
