NEW YORK – As free agency begins around MLB, here is a list of Yankees free agents and potential free agents, with continuous updates on where they’ll land for the 2026 season.

The lefty-hitting outfielder is expected to opt out of the final year of his contract and enter free agency. He is not subject to the qualifying offer since he was previously extended one.

Trent Grisham
New York Yankees center fielder Trent Grisham (12) hits a home run against the Kansas City Royals during the fifth inning at Yankee Stadium.
The Yankees must decide whether to extend the one-year qualifying offer to the lefty-hitting center fielder ($22 million) or not.
If the offer is extended and Grisham accepts, he’s under contract for 2026. If Grisham declines, he’s a free agent and the Yanks receive draft compensation from the club that signs him.
Paul Goldschmidt

At 38, the veteran first baseman says he’d like to play in 2026, but it’s unlikely to be in the Bronx.
Luke Weaver

The right-hander enters free agency off a turbulent 2025 that concluded with a poor postseason stretch. As former Yankee closer Clay Holmes did last winter, Weaver could also market himself as a starter.

Should find plenty of suitors in need of a closer after a bumpy 2025 in the Bronx, losing his ninth-inning role but generally excelling as a setup reliever.
Tim Hill

The Yankees can pick up the lefty reliever’s $3 million option for 2026, which seems like an easy call.
Paul Blackburn
Ran hot and cold in a brief stint as a Yankees reliever. Could be starting depth on a number of clubs, including the Yanks.
Jonathan Loaisiga

While the Yankees aren’t expected to trigger his $5 million club option, it’s possible that the oft-injured reliever remains on a lower guarantee/incentive-laden deal.

Can’t rule out a reunion on a one-year deal for a right-handed hitting backup infielder, though the Yanks might prefer a more versatile defender with a shortstop’s profile.
Ryan Yarbrough

The lefty swingman boosted the rotation before suffering an oblique injury, and his versatility invites the possibility of a return to a club in need of rotation depth.
Austin Slater

Backup outfielder made just 25 plate appearances in pinstripes after coming over from the Chicago White Sox at the MLB trade deadline.
