Good morning Mets fans!
The Los Angeles Dodgers made history on Saturday night, winning back-to-back World Series with a 5-4 win in 11 innings over the Toronto Blue Jays. It took all seven games and was full of excitement.
And with that, the 2025 MLB season has officially come to a close. What a season it was. Congratulations to the 2025 back-to-back World Series champion Los Angeles Dodgers.

According to Mike Puma of the New York Post, the New York Mets are hiring Rachel Folden as their hitting coach for Double-A Binghamton. She was a hitting coach in the Chicago Cubs’ minor league system in 2025.
Jimmy Nelson announced on his Instagram on Saturday that he is joining the Mets’ organization as a Florida Roving Pitching Coach.
Per Tim Healey of The Boston Globe, the New York Mets have pulled the Red Sox’ Director of Pitching, Justin Willard, to New York as their pitching coach. Will Sammon of The Athletic had reported the news first when it was not final, but when it was beginning to appear that the Mets were the frontrunners to get Willard, who also spent time with the Twins’ organization.
Chris Suero went 1-for-4 out of the cleanup spot for the Scottsdale Scorpions in AFL action.

Max Scherzer, who started Game 7 for the Blue Jays, said after the game that he’s not calling it a career just yet. As Jon Heyman of the New York Post tweeted, “I can’t see how that’s the last pitch I’ve ever thrown,” Scherzer said.
